Andhra Pradesh IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated the IBM FutureNow Centre in Visakhapatnam, describing it as a major step toward transforming the city into a leading technology and innovation hub. He said the centre will help promote digital transformation, support startups, strengthen skill development, and create employment opportunities for young professionals in the state.

Lokesh stated that the Andhra Pradesh government is committed to attracting global technology companies and building a strong digital ecosystem. He added that partnerships with leading firms like IBM will enhance innovation, improve industry–academia collaboration, and reinforce Visakhapatnam's position as an emerging IT destination
