AP Sets ₹9.5 Lakh Crore Investment Target for Visakhapatnam Economic Region

The Andhra Pradesh government has set an ambitious target of attracting ₹9.5 lakh crore in investments for the Visakhapatnam Economic Region (VER) as part of its long-term industrial development strategy. The initiative aims to position Visakhapatnam as a major hub for manufacturing, information technology, logistics, ports, clean energy, and advanced industries.

Officials said the investment plan is expected to generate large-scale employment, strengthen industrial infrastructure, and improve exports from the region. The government is working to attract domestic and international investors through policy support, infrastructure expansion, and ease-of-doing-business reforms, with Visakhapatnam identified as a key driver of Andhra Pradesh's economic growth.
