85,000 Plants Used to Create Vande Mataram Design in Andhra Pradesh Nursery

RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM, August 15, 2026: Nursery farmers in Kadiyam of East Godavari district created a special representation of “Vande Mataram” using 85,000 plants to mark Independence Day and introduce the spirit of the national song's 150-year legacy to the present generation.

The distinctive plant design was created at Palla Venkanna Nursery as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

The initiative was conceived to communicate the significance of 150 years of Vande Mataram through a large-scale display made entirely with plants.

Around 85,000 plants were used to create the Vande Mataram design.

Nursery farmer Sattibabu led the effort, with the work taking approximately one week to complete.

Young farmers Venkatesh and Vinay explained that the team worked continuously to bring the design to life.
