Private Medical Colleges Can Charge MBBS, BDS Fees for 4.5 Years Only

TAFRC issues clear orders; colleges directed to refund fees collected for the additional six months. Decision expected to provide major financial relief to thousands of medical students.

HYDERABAD, August 15, 2026: Students pursuing MBBS and BDS courses in private medical colleges across Telangana will have to pay tuition fees for four-and-a-half years only, according to fresh orders issued by the Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC).

The committee has also directed colleges that collected additional fees for the extra six months to refund the excess amount to students.
