RK Beach wore a fresh look on Sunday after one of the largest cleanup drives the city has seen. More than 2,000 volunteers including students, NGOs and civic staff participated.
The GVMC said the collected waste will be segregated and recycled. Special bins and awareness boards are being installed along the beach road to keep the stretch clean.
The drive will now be held on the first Sunday of every month, officials announced.
